Wobble Bearing Delete Kit
Fits 14-16 Viper and ZR 7000

2014-2015 Kit

2016 Kit

Shim ring installed between bearing and snap ring
The 14-16 Viper and ZR 7000 use a wobble bearing as the upper chaincase bearing which has been more prone to failures compared to a conventional fixed race bearing. Starting in 2017 the case and jackshaft were changed to incorporate a fixed race bearing. Until now updating the 14-15 models years required purchase of updated inner case and jackshaft. A new jackshaft alone lists for around $370 currently.
On 14-15 models the jackshaft has a smaller OD, so we have a collar that presses into the fixed race bearing that allows it to fit the 14-15 jackshaft. A small aluminum spacer gets installed between the bearing and the shoulder on jackshaft to maintain correct spacing. Beings that the new bearing is thinner than the wobble bearing, a shim ring is installed between the bearing and snap ring to lock bearing into the case.
In 16 the jackshaft OD was increased to 30mm and the threaded locking collar was omitted, but the bearing was still a wobble style. To update the 16 model to a fixed race bearing the shim ring is needed and (2) shim washers.
The 2014-2015 kits will retail for $110. The 2016 kits will retail for $60. A quality Japan made bearing is supplied in both kits.
