               Coolant Hose Saver
                                             All Sidewinders

The Sidewinder tunnel cooler rails are connected to the front heat exchanger via rubber hoses. These hoses are exposed in the tunnel directly above the driveshaft and track and vulnerable to ice, stones and any other debris flying around inside the tunnel. There have been several reported instances of hoses getting torn which in turn leads to a coolant leak that is not a trail friendly repair! The hose savers were developed to shield the rubber hose and prevent damage and leaks. The hose savers are a bolt in design and installation requires the removal of the skid and unbolting of the tank plastic above the footwell to gain access to the bolt that mounts the footwell bar to tunnel under the gas tank.
